Super Nintendo > The Joypad


The NES went against the popular joystick and used a controller as standard. The NES pad has Nintendo's own creation the D-pad on the left side and 2 buttons on the left, this makes the pad versatile for any genre of game.

The early NES pad (pictured above) is very square and can be very uncomfortable after a while playing, so a series of rounded joypads were released later on.
