Carl's Zelda Impressions are now up for you all to read, more impressions soon. I've also added a picture of the business card given to Mr. Miyamoto in the Shrine History section.

A New Interview
By Andy on Tuesday, May 28, 2002
We've got one new interview Mr. Miyamoto did with C&VG, who manage to ask some extremely bad questions that have been asked at least 10 times before in other interviews.

Look Forward to the rest of Carl's impressions coming tommorrow morning!

Miyamoto Promoted!
By Andy on Saturday, May 25, 2002
According to Nintendo of Japan part of Nintendo's restructure after Mr. Yamauchi's retirement will see Shigeru Miyamoto recieving a promotion. He will be promoted from General Manager to Managing Director along with Mr. Taketa and Hatano Shinji, the Chairman of the Board of Directors will be Mr. Asada.

This means Mr. Miyamoto will have a big say in how Nintendo is run in the future and he will take part in making some big decisions inside the company. Congratulations Mr. Miyamoto!

Yamauchi to Retire
By Andy on Friday, May 24, 2002
Hiroshi Yamauchi is to retire today next Friday and Satoru Iwata is to take his place.

Mr. Yamauchi had headed Nintendo for over 50 years and before then his family had headed Nintendo, his passing will be a sad loss fo Nintendo as he is well knwon for his strong beliefs and iron fist ruling. Look for a tribute to Mr. Yamauchi soon.

Nintendo makes dreams come true
By Carl on Tuesday, May 21, 2002
A Link to the Past on GBA complete with multiplayer support? Nintendo has it. Yoshi's Island on GBA? Yes sir. But the even-better news is in the area of Gamecube, where Nintendo indeed lived up to the hype when they unveiled the pride and glory of the GC lineup. Great new moves for Mario that only serves to amplify the Mario 64 experience, along with enough personality and magical little touches to make for a top-notch Mario experience. The premise is that Mario is on a vacation away from his business in the mushroom kingdom, but when his vacation goes wrong we're rewarded with stellar platforming the likes of which next-gen consoles have never seen. Add to that a Zelda video to hush the naysayers and make loyalists cheer for joy. Zelda isn't just returning, it's being reborn. Personally, I'm expecting the greatest Zelda experience ever delivered, bar none. Everything at the event was just plain thrilling, and proper respect was given to Shigeru Miyamoto for making it all possible, in the form of mad applause and a mad rush of photographers after the event. Nintendo is making up for past mistakes. Nintendo magic is back.

Miyamoto learns of the Shrine
By Carl on Tuesday, May 21, 2002
As if it weren't enough that the press event was totally amazing in every way imaginable, afterwards I managed to make my way to Miyamoto and hand him a Miyamoto Shrine business card, then gave him a thumbs up for good humor. Upon looking at the card Shigeru smiled a big smile, then turned to his comrade (more on that later) and showed him the card, at which time he too stated laughing. After picking myself up off the floor, I immediately started shooting footage of him peering at the card (which will be available on the site later.) And who knows, now that he has the card all of you readers might be keeping some very good company. Or at least, I hope. If you are reading this Mr. Miyamoto... thanks a bunch for visiting, and we love what you've done with our favorite characters! Keep it up!

Carl Speaks to Miyamoto!!
By Andy on Tuesday, May 21, 2002
... but not in the way you think. Carl asked a question at the E3 press conference; "I was wondering how the size of Super Mario Sunshine would compare to the size of Super Mario 64? ... as far as erm... the world itself..." to which Mr. Miyamoto replied "I don't think it will change all that drasticly, I think you'll find that there's the same ammount of play in the game. But because of the ammount of actions and the things the player can actually do has improved drasticly, it's going to feel like a game that has alot to it." Well done Carl!

I'm Alive
By Andy on Monday, May 20, 2002
I was beaten by the virus, I had to format my hard drive and start again. I have all of the files for the site but all the The Question and Captioning submissions we have been sent have been deleted, so if you sent an entry previously please send it again.

Hail Miyamoto, King of E3
By Carl on Sunday, May 19, 2002
Carl here. Andy apparently got a virus in his e-mail that pretty much killed his desktop (talk about bad timing) so for the next few days updates may be scarce, but even if Andy has no luck getting things back to normal by E3 I'll be sure to post impressions and thoughts right here during the show. Can you believe it? Can you believe people will be playing the sequel to Mario 64 in just a few days? And a new Zelda? And a new Metroid? I don't know about you guys, but I think this is the most promising E3 in memory. I'd say that at least two, and probably all three of these games will rock our little cube world. Find out which ones rock the most right here, on this page, in the coming days. Stay tuned!

New Mario Screens
By Andy on Friday, May 17, 2002
Gamespot have scanned the latest Mario screenshots from Famitsu, click here to check them out.

Zelda Delayed
By Andy on Thursday, May 16, 2002
According to IGN Cube Zelda has been delayed from late 2002 until febuary 2003, although I could have told you this would happen a long time ago.

Personally I see this news as a good thing, it means Zelda wont be as short as games like Pikmin and Luigi's Mansion which didn't see a delay. Oh, and don't expect Zelda anytime before late 2003.

Polls
By Andy on Monday, May 13, 2002
The new poll is up to your right, it should be interesting to see which Mario game is most popular. The Poll Results page is up and all our archived polls will eventually go there.

Big Games Update
By Andy on Monday, May 13, 2002
I've spent a very long time adding new games to the site; we now have a Gameboy section, some 64DD games and a few more SNES games archived on the site. We're one step closer to having every game Mr. Miyamoto has ever contributed to.

If anyone has any pictures of the medallions from Zelda 64 (spirit, forest, fire etc) please send them to me here, as a reward I will give you a custom title of your choice in our forums.

By Andy on Thursday, May 2, 2002
Thanks to a user from the IGN boards IGN have new screenshots of Mario, Zelda (!), 'Wario World', 1080: White Storm (a nice tribute to Waverace there) and Mario Party 4.

Although I don't like the idea of another Mario Party game, it wont hurt, and I've been wanting a 3D Wario game since the beginning of the N64's life! The game page will be put up later today, for now check out IGN's screenshots
