Interactive Sections By Andy on Tuesday, April 30, 2002 | This is the big news droubt before E3 so why not spend less than a minute submitting an entry for one of our interactive sections? The Question is currently "will Mario Sunshine and Zelda GC be as good as their N64 versions?" and the Captioning picture is an interesting one taken from Spaceworld 2000. Thanks to everyone who enters, you're making the site more interesting!

Beware of Miyahon! By Andy on Sunday, April 28, 2002 | Thanks to Chris Arrowsmith we have two new credit screens in the credits section and it seems that Mr. Miyamoto's name is spelt "S. Miyahon". Is this an edited screenshot, a shoddy translation or a completley different person? Anyone care to comment?
Update: 'CaptainSyrup' expalins: "apparantly the katakana or hiragana (probably the former) is visually identical for both "moto" and "hon", leading to some problems for the translators back when Miyamoto was fairly unknown.

He Has a Shrine By Andy on Sunday, April 28, 2002 | Look, you're here. You're reading a news item surrounded by pipes, blocks, mascots and a middle-aged Japanese man. This can mean only one thing. You're finally reading Miyamoto Shrine!
Followers of the site are now probably wondering who the hell I am and where Carl Johnson is, please read the Shrine History for a full explanation as to who I am and what I do, but in short I'm the new Editor in Chief of the Shrine. Carl is becoming increasingly more tangled up in life so I have been set the task of managing most of the site leaving him free to write up fantastic features and editorials.
The site isn't very big at the moment, I spent most of my year-long reign on the site experimenting with how the content was going to be displayed than actually creating content myself. However, we do have some features from Carl, a growing archive of Miyamoto interviews and photos and a strong will to continue expanding.
I hope to get a huge archive of Miyamoto interviews and information in the future, plus Carl will be at this years E3 Expo in Los Angeles and we will have all his impressions of the new Mario and Zelda. So check out the site content in the links on the left, sign up on our forums here and be sure to tell your friends about Miyamoto Shrine.
Carl Introduces you to the site below:
Who is this 'Miyamoto' you speak of?
Do you feel intimidated when your friends start talking about Shigeru Miyamoto? Have you neglected to study his life in detail? Has a lack of Miyamoto knowledge hampered your ability to function in day to day life? Then stop whatever you're doing and read our ever-expanding Miyamoto Biography!
Features! Get your Features!
Our features section is primed to explode with four features already uploaded for your visual pleasure. Hear true stories of what it was like to meet Shigeru Miyamoto first hand, how Miyamoto has impacted our lives, and how he's changed videogaming forever. Our current four features span three authors, and make for some good reading!
Interviews - and lots of 'em.
In giving interviews Shigeru Miyamoto is caught between a rock and a hard place. On one hand his boss is telling him not to reveal anything and give the company line, on the other, his fans are begging him to reveal any little tidbit, and tell them his true feeling about his profession. See how Shigeru handles this interesting dilemma in our growing archive of Interviews!
Communication is Key
If you ever feel the urge to express your views/thoughts/opinions with other readers, or just wanna tell us how we could have made the site better, and how much we stink, and why you're never coming back, just visit the Forums and sign up!

Now that we've given you a peek at the content currently available, it's up to you to explore the links on the side and discover what else the Shrine has to offer.
